DirtClodFight has been around for quite a while and is a much respected band among the punk genre. Moving through a few lineup changes, they have stayed busy and creative over the years and have morphed or better yet, have evolved into what their current offering is.
Phil Merwin is one of the constants of this band since the beginning days. Currently based out of Eugene, Oregon home of other great bands like YOB, Norska, Ninth Moon Black, Rye Wolves and the like. “The Main Sequence”, is the most recent offering from this band who just released this new record on Oct. 01, 2013 on Cavity Search Records. This is somewhat of a concept album and is as Phil states, “an allegory of love, loss, enlightenment as told through the life of a dwarf star in the main sequence.” The following is one of my personal favorites on this record and certainly displays Merwin’s energy and musical talent.
